Triumph Aerospace, working with FANUC America Corporation and integrator Microtrol Engineering, faced aging Cincinnati Milacron skin mills that were losing performance and making it hard to keep production efficient. The company needed a way to boost productivity, improve machine capabilities, and avoid the high cost of replacing the old equipment.

FANUC America Corporation helped retrofit the legacy machines with new FANUC CNC technology, including 31i-MODEL B5 and 30i-MODEL B controls plus power failure backup and straightness compensation. The upgrade cut processing time in half, reduced scrap caused by power outages to zero, and significantly improved production while saving time and money.
