Thogus, a custom manufacturer of molded components, faced a production bottleneck in the secondary drilling operation for its football helmets. The solution involved a custom automated cell featuring two FANUC LR Mate robots integrated with an injection molding machine. The FANUC robotic drilling system provided the flexibility to handle multiple helmet sizes and configurations.
