The Will-Burt Company, a manufacturer based in rural Ohio, faced a significant skilled welder shortage that limited its production capacity. To overcome this labor challenge and control rising costs, the company turned to FANUC America Corporation and its authorized integrator, Weldbot, for an automated robotic arc welding solution.

By implementing FANUC's M-710iC/12L and ARC Mate 100iD/8L robotic systems, The Will-Burt Company automated its fabrication process. The solution from FANUC resulted in welds that were three to four times more efficient than manual welding and of a higher quality. This automation added 240 to 320 hours of welding capacity per week per robot, enabling approximately $4 million in additional contract work and significantly improving employee safety.
