Tasteful Selections boosts production and reduces workplace accidents with FANUC robots

Tasteful Selections, a major grower and packer of bite-sized potatoes, faced challenges including labor shortages, a need for more sanitary processes, and the requirement for high-speed yet gentle packaging. To address this, they worked with vendor FANUC America Corporation and systems integrator Schneider Packaging Equipment Co Inc. to implement an automated solution using FANUC palletizing robots.

The solution implemented by FANUC America involved deploying five M-3iA Delta robots equipped with soft grippers for gentle case packing. This automation resulted in higher production capacity, a reduction in rejected product and waste, and a significant decrease in workplace accidents. The investment allowed Tasteful Selections to scale its operations quickly while improving food safety and allowing staff to be reassigned to more rewarding roles.
