Mrs. Gerry’s cuts packaging labor from 12 employees to 2–3 with FANUC America Corporation

Mrs. Gerry's, a food producer, faced challenges with a labor-intensive manual packaging process that required up to 12 employees and struggled with inconsistent product orientation and frequent changeovers. They partnered with FANUC America Corporation and system integrator Delkor Systems to implement an automated solution utilizing FANUC's M-2iA Delta and M-410iB/700 palletizing robots.

The solution implemented by FANUC America's integrator automated the entire packaging and palletizing line. This resulted in a dramatic reduction in labor, cutting the number of employees needed for the process from 12 down to two or three. Throughput significantly increased to 36 million pounds annually, and the new system achieved full production capacity within just 10 days of installation.
