Groupe TAQ, a not-for-profit social enterprise, faced challenges with physically demanding manual palletizing tasks that led to worker fatigue and injuries. To address this, they partnered with vendor FANUC America Corporation and its system integrator, Premier Tech Systems and Automation, to implement the TOMA palletizing solution featuring a FANUC CRX collaborative robot.

The solution automated the palletizing of 2,000-3,000 boxes daily, which greatly minimized injuries and eliminated the need for employee rotations due to fatigue. This allowed Groupe TAQ to relocate 2-3 employees per shift to higher-value tasks, increasing both throughput and employee satisfaction. The implementation by FANUC America provided a hyper-flexible system that could be easily moved to different stations to address demand.
