Global Cap Manufacturer uses FANUC Robots to Solve Labor Challenges and Boost OEE

Closure Systems International, a global supplier of closures for consumer and industrial products, was facing rising demand, labor shortages, and downtime in a manual manufacturing process. FANUC America Corporation worked with Motion Controls Robotics Inc. to introduce robotic automation for material handling and packaging to help CSI increase production and improve overall equipment effectiveness.

FANUC America Corporation’s automation solution, built with multiple FANUC robots, reduced downtime and helped CSI reach its 97.5% OEE goal. After six months, the company saw a 25% increase in output, equal to about 30 million units per month, and gained the capacity and confidence to expand production and deliver on time.
