Freres Engineered Wood, a producer of Mass Ply Panel building materials, faced challenges with inconsistent joint quality, time-consuming equipment setup, and panel vibration that compromised performance. They sought a flexible automation solution from FANUC America Corporation to improve cost competitiveness.

FANUC implemented R-2000iC/210L robots, integrated by PRE-TEC, to automate the cutting process. This solution doubled production capacity, significantly improved joint quality for better panel strength, and freed up manpower and equipment. The implementation resulted in a higher percentage of product meeting quality control standards and provided predictable maintenance through monitoring software.
