FloraCraft boosts packaging efficiency with FANUC robotics and expands into new business

FloraCraft, a world-leading manufacturer of craft and floral foam products, faced challenges in automating the packaging of its smaller, lightweight items. The manual process had limited throughput due to space constraints and lacked the flexibility to handle multiple product shapes and case packs. To address this, they partnered with vendor FANUC America Corporation and system integrator Brenton.

The solution implemented by FANUC America Corporation involved integrating a multi-robot system. A FANUC M-3iA/6S delta robot picks products, a FANUC LR Mate 200iD/7L robot packs them into cases, and a FANUC M-410iB/140H robot palletizes the boxes. This automation resulted in higher production efficiency, improved ergonomics, and provided the flexible solution needed. The increased efficiency and cost savings were significant, prompting FloraCraft to purchase additional FANUC robotics for other projects and giving them the ability to expand their customer base.
