Fanatical worked with Silver Oak Cellars, the winery behind a national tour celebrating its 40th anniversary, to generate industry buzz and drive local ticket sales across 35 events in 55 days in 65 cities. The challenge was to get wine enthusiasts to attend the tour stops and help fill seats using social media promotion.
Fanatical identified national wine influencers, seeded them with tour content, engaged Silver Oak’s existing influencers, and posted location-targeted updates and photos to promote each event. The campaign helped nearly every event sell out using only social media promotion, and the winery also saw a 20% increase in tasting room visits in 2012.
