Case Study: Technology for Obama mobilizes battleground voters with Fanatical social media outreach

A Fanatical Case Study

Preview of the Technology for Obama Case Study

Battleground Youth Initiative Use Social Media To Get Out The Vote

Fanatical worked with Technology for Obama to help reach, excite, and mobilize young, influential, tech-savvy voters in key battleground states during the 2012 election. The challenge was to drive turnout quickly in critical states through social media and influencer engagement, using services centered on influencer identification, outreach, event promotion, and hashtag deployment.

Fanatical implemented a battleground youth initiative that included promoting the #VAvote GOTV effort in Virginia, messaging targeted social influencers, and organizing events such as a social influencer roundtable and tweetup with prominent voices. The campaign generated 10 million total impressions, including 4 million in one hour for #VAvote and 3 million for the roundtable, helped convert 5,000+ voters, and contributed to Obama’s election.
