Your Next Concepts is a Dutch education technology company that set out to reduce school dropouts by building an NFC-based attendance tracking solution for higher education. To do this, they needed a simple, remotely managed Android device with NFC, a wide screen, and long battery life for use by students, exam supervisors, and staff. Famoco, using the FX200 Android mobile device and its MDM platform, provided the hardware and management environment they needed.

With Famoco, Your Next Concepts deployed more than 300 FX200 devices, which could be activated quickly and updated over the air. The solution scaled rapidly to more than 70,000 users and supported over 1.6 million registrations in 2020, helping universities track attendance at classes and exams in real time. Famoco’s hardware and platform also enabled the app to be adapted during Covid-19 to monitor building occupancy and support health and safety compliance.
