BookMyShow, India’s largest online ticketing platform, needed a more uniform way to validate tickets across box offices, gates, and arena touchpoints. Its existing environment was highly heterogeneous, with different devices and workflows across locations, making nationwide deployment and management difficult. Famoco provided the mobile device foundation, including the PX320 rugged Android device and Famoco OS/MDM.

Famoco’s solution let BookMyShow standardize ticket validation with rugged devices and an integrated scanner head, improving outdoor performance and simplifying fleet management. Setup time dropped from about 15 minutes to around 15 seconds, and BookMyShow used 750 Famoco devices to validate roughly 35,000 tickets in a matter of hours during the U2 Tour in India. Famoco also helped BookMyShow deploy hundreds of devices across multiple cities and events in a single weekend.
