A Famoco Case Study
UTB (Union des Transports de Bouaké), Ivory Coast’s first intercity bus network, was struggling with disordered ticket management and long queues that forced passengers to arrive up to four hours before departure. To improve the customer experience and speed up ticket access, UTB worked with Famoco and SycaPay to digitize its bus ticketing process using secure mobile devices.
Famoco deployed PX400 mobile terminals with integrated printers across the transport network, along with EX100 handheld terminals to scan and validate barcode tickets at boarding. The secure Android OS and Famoco MDM enabled easy business app deployment and remote device management, helping staff work more efficiently. Within three months of launch, UTB recorded more than 20,000 digital ticket reservations, and the company expects sales to exceed 80,000 tickets by year-end.
