Famoco and PayinTech pair up to revitalize tourism in Paris

PayinTech, a European leader in cashless solutions for entertainment and leisure venues, wanted to improve the visitor experience in Paris and address the lack of an all-in-one payment solution for tourists. Faced with more than 15 million visitors a year and a sluggish tourism sector, the company needed a simple, innovative way to streamline access and payments across major attractions.

Famoco’s NFC technology was used to power the Paris Region Pass, with connected wristbands that let tourists access multiple activities using a single scan at the entrance. Famoco devices were easy to deploy, secure, and remotely managed, helping reduce misuse and simplify operations. The launch in July 2017 quickly delivered results, with over 6,000 wristbands sold in the first month.
