Case Study: Ortix digitizes farm operations with Famoco

Ortix, a French technology and agriculture company founded in 2019, wanted to help farmers digitize field operations and simplify traceability. Its Scopix solution needed a rugged mobile device with reliable connectivity, Bluetooth Low Energy, GPS, an accelerometer, and a touch screen to record activities directly from the cab of tractors and other farm machines. Ortix partnered with Famoco to find a professional device suited to agricultural use.

Famoco supplied the FX100/FX105 mobile terminals, powered by Famoco OS and managed remotely through Famoco MDM, enabling Ortix to connect to beacons, track vehicle movements, and push updates in minutes. The solution improved data capture, compliance checks, and operational follow-up for farmers, and Ortix deployed 60 devices in 2020 with plans to scale to 1,500 in 2021 and 5,000 in 2022.
