East DataConst, a Finnish attendance tracking software provider for construction and maintenance worksites, needed a reliable way to track employee attendance without the limitations of smartphones. After testing several phones and finding them too feature-heavy and unstable, the company looked for a more dedicated device-based approach.

Famoco provided a fully dedicated NFC-enabled device with a custom casing and remote device management through the Famoco Management Suite. East DataConst could lock the devices to a single app, deploy updates remotely, and give workers a simple tap-in/tap-out experience. The result was more precise tracking of working hours, real-time visibility into site presence, and a smoother deployment and update process for the company.
