Genesee County, Michigan faced fragmented databases and poor interagency communication that made it difficult to track children across schools, police jurisdictions and placement settings. To improve real-time case notes, caseload management and court access to critical information, Genesee County partnered with FAMCare to design and deploy a web‑based collaborative case management and tracking solution.

FAMCare’s system lets caseworkers enter contacts from laptops and handheld devices, share data across agencies, and give supervisors and judges instant access to cases. The implementation enabled tracking of roughly 2,000 children across placements and jurisdictions, increased caseworker productivity, reduced paperwork and delays, and sped decision‑making—allowing supervisors to monitor work with “two clicks” and courts to retrieve critical information immediately.
