Case Study: Finnpilot improves incident reporting and whistleblowing with Falcony

A Falcony Case Study

Preview of the Finnpilot Case Study

Since Its Implementation in 2020, Finnpilot Has Improved Their Processes Around Incident Reporting and Sharing Best Practises With the Falcony Platform

Finnpilot Pilotage Ltd, a Finnish state-owned pilotage company, wanted to modernize deviation and incident reporting so information from the field would be transparent across the organization. Their old ERP-based process was hard to develop, not mobile-friendly, and lacked the closed-loop communication and analytics they needed to strengthen safety culture. Finnpilot chose Falcony’s platform for incident reporting and later added its Whistleblowing module.

Falcony was rolled out in spring 2020 with reporting forms for deviations, positive observations, hazards, and pilotage-specific cases, and all employees were brought onto the system quickly. The platform’s mobile use, offline support, self-service configuration, and Power BI integration improved reporting, visibility, and data use, while whistleblowing was launched easily for anonymous confidential reports. Finnpilot says communication became clearer, work steps were reduced, and safety culture improved significantly; the company also highlighted the smooth implementation and strong adoption across staff.
