Childrens Health Care of Altanta - Customer Case Study

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, a large pediatric system with 532 licensed beds, more than 8,700 employees and over 850,000 annual patient visits, needed to equip nursing staff to do more with fewer resources. Leadership development was prioritized to improve empowerment, communication, productive feedback, accountability and initiative so nurses could drive better patient outcomes and collaborate more effectively with care teams.

CD2 Learning delivered a blended, scalable leadership program—“Finding the Leader in You” (FLY)—built on Ken Blanchard’s Situational Leadership II, delivered via a cloud-based platform and supported by clinical pre‑lesson videos, interactive modules and live debriefs. Rolled out across cohorts over two years, the initiative has generated positive early results: staff are using temperament and situational self‑leadership concepts in practice, communication and collaboration have improved, and Children’s plans to expand the program.
