BERNINA, the Swiss-led market leader in sewing machines, needed to modernize training for its busy retail dealers. Existing programs—large conferences, on-site trainers, and week-long HQ sessions—were costly, hard to scale, and suffered from low retention and staff turnover. Connie Fanders set a goal to deliver compact B2B micro-courses that taught retailers how to sell new, frequently updated machines more efficiently.
BERNINA selected CD2 Learning to create a customizable, mobile series with assessments, printable PDFs, and reporting to track progress. The scalable platform launched to 450 stores with over 1,000 users, drew positive field feedback, and made frequent updates and future mastery/certification programs feasible—improving retention, reducing training costs, and positioning BERNINA ahead of competitors.
