CSU-Global, the first independent, 100% online state university in the United States, needed a secure, flexible platform to support more than 10,000 students and faculty around the world. With uptime critical for class registration, tuition payments, and other online systems, the university considered outsourcing, bringing applications in-house, or using a mix of both before choosing Faction.

Faction provided CSU-Global with an enterprise-class cloud platform that supported Windows and Linux environments, high availability, and flexible resource allocation for production, development, and staging. CSU-Global migrated critical applications to Faction and repurposed servers for other initiatives, while also reporting very responsive service and a more collaborative relationship. The cloud infrastructure supported production, disaster recovery, and testing environments accessible coast to coast in sub-40ms.
