University Upgrades Both Indoor and Outdoor Lighting

William Paterson University, a public university in New Jersey, faced a challenge with its outdated and inefficient lighting systems. Its campus was illuminated by older HID fixtures that used many different lamp types, leading to high maintenance and energy costs. FSG was selected to address these issues with a comprehensive lighting and controls upgrade.

FSG implemented a solution that upgraded both indoor and outdoor lighting across the campus, including gyms, pools, and classrooms with new fixtures and occupancy sensors. Over 1,000 long-life induction fixtures were installed outdoors. This project resulted in energy savings of over 50% for the university and drastically reduced maintenance needs due to the new system's longevity. Rebates covered up to 80% of the costs for a large portion of the work.
