The Port Authority of NY and NJ required a large-scale upgrade to its transportation infrastructure for improved sustainability and safety. They partnered with Facility Solutions Group to undertake a massive lighting retrofit and installation project across numerous high-traffic sites, which involved a vast number of fixtures and significant electrical equipment.

Facility Solutions Group executed a comprehensive solution, installing over 12,000 LED fixtures on major bridges and in key tunnels, alongside placing more than 8,800 tons of chillers at Newark Airport. This extensive work across multiple locations, including airports and bus terminals, significantly enhanced energy efficiency and operational performance for the Port Authority under an $18 million contract.
