Case Study: National Flight Academy cuts lighting costs with Facility Solutions Group's LaaS LED retrofit

The National Flight Academy retrofitted traditional T-8 fluorescent to new T-8 LED tubes throughout it’s unique, education focused facility

The National Flight Academy, an educational organization on a naval air station, sought to reduce operational costs by upgrading to energy-efficient LED lighting but was challenged by the significant upfront capital investment required. Facility Solutions Group (FSG) partnered with Redaptive to provide a Lighting-as-a-Service (LaaS) solution, which eliminated the need for any initial capital outlay from the customer.

Facility Solutions Group seamlessly implemented the retrofit, replacing 3,000 lamps without disrupting daily operations. This project resulted in a 54% reduction in lighting system wattage and over 210,000 kWh in annual energy savings, providing the National Flight Academy with an estimated net savings of $204,804 over ten years.
