Case Study: Greenwich Marine Terminals achieves major energy savings and improved lighting with Facility Solutions Group

Replacement of twenty four 120 foot poles, 288 light fixtures and lowering devices

Greenwich Marine Terminals faced a challenge at their Philadelphia facility with an outdated, 30-year-old High Pressure Sodium lighting system. The existing infrastructure on their 120-foot poles could not support the installation of new IoT equipment they wished to deploy. They partnered with lighting expert Facility Solutions Group (FSG) to find a modern solution.

Facility Solutions Group, in collaboration with Holophane, designed and implemented a complete LED lighting system replacement. The solution included 24 new poles, lowering devices, and 288 LED fixtures with an Acuity ROAM wireless management system. The results were significant, reducing the overall lighting load by over 50% and slashing maintenance costs due to a system life five times longer than the previous one, all while drastically improving light quality and uniformity.
