Prison Updates Exterior and Interior Lighting

The Federal Bureau of Prisons sought to update the lighting at its Duluth facility, which presented logistical challenges due to the prison environment. Their existing interior and exterior CFL and fluorescent fixtures were inefficient. They engaged Facility Solutions Group to perform a lighting retrofit to address these issues.

Facility Solutions Group replaced over 3,470 fixtures with new LED lighting for both the interior and exterior of the prison. This solution was implemented with no disruption to operations. The results included dramatically extended fixture lifespans, greatly reduced maintenance costs, and annual energy savings of over $68,000.
