PISD was ready to replace their old letterboard signs

Prosper ISD was facing the challenge of outdated letterboard signs that had severe character limits and required manual updates. They partnered with Facility Solutions Group (FSG) to modernize their signage across 14 campuses without the cost of completely replacing their existing masonry structures.

Facility Solutions Group engineered a custom retrofit solution, designing special mounting frames to install new Daktronics Electronic Message Centers into the various-sized openings. This transformed the signs into bright, digital displays that could be updated effortlessly via a cloud application. The new signs proved critically effective for community communication, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, by allowing the district to quickly share urgent updates, announcements, and encouraging messages.
