Facility Solutions Group (FSG) provided a lighting upgrade solution for General Motors, which sought to modernize its smart factory environments across its nationwide facilities. The challenge was to update the lighting in over 65 buildings to leverage the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and improve operational efficiency.

FSG implemented a full-service solution, handling everything from audit and design to material supply and installation, upgrading various facilities to new LED fixtures. The projects were financed through FSG's Lighting as a Service (Laas) offering, enabling immediate energy savings without upfront capital. This resulted in energy costs being driven down by at least 50% and improved employee productivity.
