FSG Upgrades Lighting in More than 65 GM Buildings Nationwide

General Motors sought to upgrade the lighting in its extensive facilities nationwide as a key component of developing its smart factory capabilities. To meet this challenge, they partnered with Facility Solutions Group for a comprehensive lighting upgrade service across more than 65 buildings encompassing over 20 million square feet.

Facility Solutions Group delivered a full-service solution, handling everything from the initial audit and design to material supply and installation for numerous plants and technical centers. All projects were financed through FSG's Lighting-as-a-Service (Laas) offering. The result is an expected reduction in energy costs of at least 50% and an improvement in employee productivity, achieved without any upfront capital investment from General Motors.
