FSG Supplies Electrical Construction Support for Award-Winning GSA High-Rise Renovation

The General Services Administration (GSA) required a comprehensive, full-building renovation for the aging Mickey Leland Federal Building in Houston, a 22-story tower housing critical federal operations. The challenge was to modernize the facility, including its electrical and lighting infrastructure, while ensuring all agencies and offices remained fully functional and operational throughout the process. Facility Solutions Group (FSG) was brought on to provide expert electrical construction services for this complex project.

Facility Solutions Group managed the complete overhaul of the building’s electrical systems, including lighting, controls, power, and fire alarms, while expertly minimizing disruption to occupants. This solution contributed directly to the project's outstanding success, resulting in a fully revitalized federal building with enhanced aesthetics and an improved visitor experience. The project's significant impact was recognized with a LEED Platinum certification and the Innovative Energy Project of the Year award.
