Sam Houston State University (SHSU) faced the challenge of needing to rapidly expand on-campus housing for its growing student population. To meet this urgent need, the university partnered with general contractor DPR Construction for a new residence hall project, who in turn selected Facility Solutions Group (FSG) to provide the electrical construction services for this high-profile build.

Facility Solutions Group worked alongside DPR Construction to execute the electrical scope, emphasizing safety and logistical discipline to minimize disruption on the active campus. The solution involved providing comprehensive services from pre-construction planning through installation. The result was the successful delivery of the North Residence Hall, a 186,000-square-foot facility that added 640 beds and was completed on schedule for the Fall 2022 semester.
