FSG Designs And Provides New LED Lighting For Outer Bridge

The Port Authority of NY and NJ sought to upgrade the lighting at the historic Outerbridge Crossing to modernize the facility and improve efficiency. Facility Solutions Group (FSG) was engaged to design and provide a comprehensive LED lighting retrofit to replace the outdated HID fixtures, including roadway, high mast, and interior lighting.

FSG designed the LED solution and supervised the installation, which included replacing high-wattage HPS fixtures with efficient LED models. The project resulted in an annual energy reduction of 413,652 kWh, saving $66,172 per year. The new lighting also dramatically improved color quality and increased lamp life, which will significantly reduce future maintenance costs for the Port Authority.
