FSG Delivers Turnkey LED Lighting Upgrade for Freehold Regional High School District in New Jersey

Facility Solutions Group (FSG) completed a lighting retrofit project for the Freehold Regional High School District, a group of six high schools in New Jersey. The customer's challenge was to upgrade their outdated fluorescent and HID lighting to modern LED fixtures across all schools, a substantial project that needed to be completed within the tight schedule of the summer break while coordinating with other contractors also working on the buildings.

The solution implemented by FSG involved retrofitting nearly 11,000 fixtures, including installing new LED tubes, lamps, high bays, and other specialized lighting, along with over 600 occupancy sensors. The vendor successfully met the project's logistical and scheduling demands. The results were highly successful, yielding $1.8 million in annual energy savings and a reduction of 2,000,000 kWh. School staff reported a significant improvement in lighting quality and were pleased with the outcome.
