FSG Assists in Downtown Houston Parking Garage Recovery Project Following Hurricane Harvey Flooding

The Houston First Corporation faced a catastrophic challenge when its downtown parking garages were completely submerged for days following Hurricane Harvey's record flooding. To recover the facilities, the customer engaged Gilbane, who in turn brought in Facility Solutions Group (FSG) to handle the critical electrical work scope for the project.

Facility Solutions Group implemented a solution that included providing temporary power via generators and switchboards for cleanup crews and refurbishing or replacing all damaged electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment. This effort successfully returned the three garages to full operation by the tight Thanksgiving deadline. The project's completion was vital in helping to restore the economic activity of downtown Houston.
