Case Study: School District of the Chathams achieves major energy savings with Facility Solutions Group lighting upgrades

Energy Upgrade Included Lighting, Controls, Plug Load Controls and Fans

The School District of the Chathams sought to make energy-related improvements across its six schools in New Jersey under the state's Energy Savings Improvement Program (ESIP), needing a solution that required minimal new financial resources. Facility Solutions Group (FSG) was selected as the vendor to undertake a comprehensive lighting and energy efficiency upgrade project for the district.

FSG implemented a solution that included the installation of LED lighting fixtures, lighting and plug load controls, destratification fans, and high-efficiency transformers. The results were substantial, with over 7,300 fixtures and 26,000 lamps upgraded, 1,200 plug controllers installed for load management, and 46 fans deployed to improve air circulation. This project by FSG successfully modernized the district's infrastructure to reduce its energy consumption and operational costs.
