Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. faced a challenge with outdated metal halide lighting in its 145,000-square-foot New Jersey food warehouse. The lighting suffered from severe lumen depreciation and long re-strike times, impacting operations. Facility Solutions Group was engaged to provide a lighting upgrade solution.

Facility Solutions Group replaced 265 metal halide fixtures in the warehouse with energy-efficient 480V vapor-tight T5HO fixtures and updated 78 office fixtures. Occupancy sensors were installed to maximize energy savings. The project resulted in annual energy savings of $32,000, achieving a payback period of just over a year and securing a $21,000 utility rebate.
