Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) faced a significant challenge managing a high volume of facility use requests from its 56 schools and the surrounding community. With a facilities staff of fewer than three people and an outdated, unsupported software system, the district was overwhelmed, resulting in a backlog of over 600 requests. They turned to the vendor Facilitron for a solution to their facilities management and scheduling demands.
Implementing the Facilitron platform and its support services eliminated the 600-request backlog within months. The solution provided critical data insights, which uncovered an organization incorrectly using a non-profit designation, allowing SAUSD to recoup $160,000 in lost revenue. Facilitron normalized the staff’s workload, greatly improved productivity and customer satisfaction, and enabled the recovered funds to be redirected into improving facility quality and safety.
