The team used Facebook for Developers’ Facebook Gameroom to quickly bring the game to desktop without needing extra development resources.
Facebook for Developers helped Joycity launch the game on both mobile and Gameroom, enabling cross-platform synergies and attracting a largely organic PC audience. The results were strong: 15% of all players were on Gameroom, 94% of Gameroom players were acquired organically within three weeks, player base grew 39% week over week, average revenue increased 80%, ARPPU rose 66%, and retention doubled.
