Goodgame Studios Builds an Empire of High Value Players

Goodgame Studios, one of Germany’s largest online game companies, wanted to keep players engaged and attract higher-quality users across its free-to-play titles like *Goodgame Empire* and *Empire: Four Kingdoms*. Although it already used Facebook for marketing, the studio needed a better way to drive retention, cross-device progress syncing, and more valuable player acquisition with tools such as Facebook Login and Game Requests from Facebook for Developers.

Facebook for Developers helped Goodgame Studios implement Facebook Login, Game Requests, App-to-User notifications, App Events, and Facebook Analytics for Apps to improve acquisition and re-engagement. The results were strong: Facebook Login users had 3X better retention and were 6X more likely to pay, Game Requests players stayed up to 5X longer and were up to 8X more likely to spend in-game, reactivation CTR doubled, and install-to-load conversion improved by 45%.
