Auto Chilango, a Mexico City app launched in 2013 to help vehicle owners manage tickets, taxes, services, and regulations, faced the challenge of scaling in a crowded, fast-changing market. Facebook for Developers helped Auto Chilango unlock more app features for signed-in users, improve targeting, and lower acquisition costs. Results included 25% of active customers using Facebook Login, 70% of Android users preferring it, 38% more app opens among logged-in users, 500K video ad impressions, and a 60% drop in CPI; the app also aimed toward 1M installs and expansion across Latin America.
