A Fabsoft Case Study
Ricoh Canada, a major Canadian hardware equipment supplier, faced significant inefficiencies in its warehouse operations across multiple locations. The company relied on outdated multipart pre-printed forms for pick tickets, which led to frequent printer jams, wasted forms, high storage costs, and a disorganized, multi-page format that confused staff and caused shipping errors. To address these challenges, Ricoh Canada partnered with vendor FabSoft.
FabSoft implemented its SysConnect solution to automate document capture and printing. This allowed Ricoh to replace its pre-printed forms with professional-looking documents printed on demand using high-speed MFPs and laser printers. The solution integrated with their existing Baan ERP system via FabSoft's LPD Server to manage print jobs from all locations seamlessly. The results for Ricoh Canada included a major boost in productivity by eliminating errors and reducing page counts, a substantial reduction in costs associated with form purchasing and inventory, and a more professional, consistent output for customers.
