Primetals Technologies, the global steel plant manufacturer, needed a way to manage and exchange large volumes of plant documentation securely and transparently across major projects that can last up to three years. Working with Fabasoft and its Approve platform, the company aimed to improve communication with customers, suppliers, and internal project teams while reducing the risk of delays.

Fabasoft implemented Approve as a highly customizable digital transmittal and document exchange solution, with automated notifications, metadata enrichment, granular access control, audit logging, full-text search, and a direct connection to SAP P&E. This replaced manual transfer steps, improved traceability and legal compliance, and enabled efficient handling of as-built documentation; in major projects, more than 50,000 documents are transmitted securely.
