Siemens, the global engineering company, needed a better way to manage complex project documentation for power plant solutions across internal teams and external partners. Using SAP Plant PDM, employees previously shared documents by download server and email, which created heavy manual effort, slow approval cycles, and traceability challenges. Fabasoft was brought in to provide a cloud-based project documentation approach with Fabasoft Approve.

Fabasoft implemented a tailored solution, Siemens Cloud Collaboration, based on Fabasoft Approve on Fabasoft PROCECO, with automated linking to SAP Plant PDM and secure project rooms for internal and external users. Approvals and feedback were synchronized automatically, versioning and “Time Travel” improved transparency, and mobile access was supported. Siemens reported significantly accelerated coordination and approval processes, rapid SAP integration within days, higher productivity, and much better transparency and quality in project management.
