Yokogawa Electric Chooses F5 Solution for Secure Authentication of Services Offered Via AWS

Yokogawa Electric Corporation, which provides lifecycle performance care services worldwide, needed to transition many services to AWS while meeting customer demands for stronger, mobile‑friendly two‑factor authentication and supporting multiple data‑center locations. To secure legacy and mobile access during this cloud migration, they selected F5 Networks’ BIG‑IP Access Policy Manager (APM), combined with Cybertrust Device ID, to strengthen device and user authentication.

F5 Networks’ BIG‑IP APM VE was implemented to validate device IDs via OCSP and integrate with existing credential and IP checks, avoiding hardware token distribution and enabling certificate‑based mobile access. The system was integrated in about a month, helped drive 90% of customers to transition to AWS within six months, improved security and convenience for mobile users, and increased customer adoption of cloud services.
