TransUnion, a global consumer information and credit-services company operating in 33 countries, needed to standardize IT environments from recent acquisitions, maintain high availability, improve performance, and protect sensitive data. To address these challenges it standardized on traffic-management solutions from F5 Networks—deploying BIG‑IP LTM and BIG‑IP DNS (on the VIPRION platform) to centralize application delivery and enforce consistent configurations.

F5 Networks implemented BIG‑IP LTM and BIG‑IP DNS with customizable iApps templates to automate deployments, scale across two data centers, and secure traffic. The result: reduced network latency, nearly eliminated downtime, strengthened security during high query volumes and DDoS events, and the ability to manage several thousand applications with one IT staff member; administrators can deploy a VM with required security and forwarding in under 15 minutes—delivering lower labor costs, simplified management, and improved availability.
