Téva Santé Secures Online Pharmaceutical Ordering Application with BIG-IP ASM

TEVA Santé, a leading generic pharmaceutical company, needed to secure its newly migrated online ordering application after adopting the PharmaML protocol, which improved order transmission but left server-level data (inventory, pricing, customer info) exposed. To protect sensitive data, maintain service levels across multiple sales channels, and meet regulatory requirements, TEVA Santé turned to F5 Networks and its BIG-IP Application Security Manager (BIG-IP ASM).

F5 Networks deployed BIG-IP ASM in front of TEVA Santé’s ordering servers to inspect inbound/outbound traffic, detect anomalies, enforce valid input, and block attacks. The solution secured critical data, mitigated denial-of-service and SQL injection threats, ensured interoperability without code changes, maintained high availability and service reliability, and helped the company achieve regulatory compliance while enabling scalable expansion of its ordering infrastructure.
