SiteVision Founds New Web Service on F5 VIPRION Hardware

SiteVision, a Swedish provider of a widely used content management system, launched SiteVision Cloud to offer its software as a service to customers who couldn’t host it themselves. To succeed it needed an IT platform with exceptional reliability, scalable bandwidth, and strong security. SiteVision chose F5 Networks’ VIPRION Application Delivery Controller with BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and iRules to meet those requirements.

F5 Networks deployed two VIPRION 2400 units (one in each data center) with BIG-IP LTM and custom iRules, giving SiteVision active failover, plentiful headroom for growth (additional blades can be added without disruption), and integrated DDoS protection. The solution delivered high availability during real-world peaks—effortlessly handling traffic surges for early customers such as the Swedish Royal Court—and enabled SiteVision to focus on growing its SaaS offering rather than worrying about reliability, bandwidth, or security.
