Recruit Technologies Uses F5 Solutions to Provide Private Cloud with Public Cloud Agility

Recruit Technologies, the IT arm of Japan’s Recruit group, needed a private cloud that combined the strong security and resilience of its RAFTEL Standard with the agility and self‑service speed of public cloud offerings. To secure SSL processing, shorten infrastructure lead times, and keep compatibility with existing private‑cloud operations, Recruit deployed F5 Networks solutions—including BIG-IP LTM, BIG-IP virtual editions (VEs), VIPRION hardware and BIG-IQ Centralized Management—to build the new RAFTEL Fleet private cloud.

F5 Networks’ BIG-IP platform and BIG-IQ centralized management virtualized load balancing, offloaded SSL cryptography (External Crypto Offload), and streamlined VE license management to enable self‑service provisioning and rapid scaling. As a result, engineers can deploy new servers, add communication parameters and embed BIG-IP VEs in minutes (versus prior two‑week change windows), maintain high throughput by offloading SSL, simplify transitions between RAFTEL Fleet and RAFTEL Standard, and accelerate application development.
