Qualica Uses F5 Solution to Speed SaaS Delivery, Protect Application Vulnerabilities

Qualica, part of the TIS INTEC Group, runs a broad SaaS portfolio and was transitioning applications to microservices while under pressure to speed delivery and reduce developer workloads. Facing a sharp increase in attacks targeting application vulnerabilities, Qualica selected F5 Networks’ BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM) and engaged F5 Consulting Services to provide a web application firewall and implementation guidance.

F5 Networks deployed BIG-IP ASM in a four-stage architecture (internet firewall/load balancer, redundant API gateway, BIG-IP ASM for content inspection, then microservices) and helped tune policies via consulting. Qualica began using BIG-IP ASM’s staging feature for TastyQube in January 2017 and planned attack-defense deployment in March 2017; the solution improved vulnerability detection and protection, supports multiple tenants on a single device, reduced developer security burden, accelerated SaaS delivery, and enabled new hosting and WAF service offerings.
